Our food is centred around Bacon, whats more to love. We made an effort to go with as locally sourced produce as possible, certainly for the Bacon. Which is why we opted to use Owen Taylor as our predominant meat supplier.
Specifically for our Bacon we source it via them from 2 farms predominantly:
Redfield House Farm – (Nuthall) Farmer: Mr.Hatton
And also Butterlytop Farm (Ashover, Derbyshire) – Farmer: Mr.Cafferty
All bacon is also cured on Owen Taylor site in Chesterfield so the meat from start to finish doesn’t leave the immediate vicinity.
The pigs that are used specifically from Butterly Top Farm is Glouscter Old Spot and from Redfield it does rotate between 2 to 3 different types.
We operate with a tapas style approach to our bacon dishes, which gives an opportunity to try more different styles of Bacon worship!
